San Bruno Skilled Nursing 📍 San Bruno, CA Position: Dietary Aide Schedule: Part-Time / On-Call Availability Required: 7 Days a Week (AM & PM Shifts) Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour San Bruno Skilled Nursing is seeking a dependable and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our dietary team. This part-time, on-call position offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents by supporting meal service operations and maintaining a clean, safe dining environment. Benefits For Part-Time Employees Sick pay401(k) retirement planEmployee assistance programOpportunities for growth and advancementSupportive team environmentTraining and development opportunities Responsibilities Assist with meal preparation and tray set-up for residents.Deliver and serve meals in a courteous and professional manner.Collect and properly clean returned meal trays and dishes.Operate the dishwasher and maintain proper sanitation standards.Monitor and record dishwasher water temperatures and sanitizer/chlorine levels.Prepare snacks, nourishments, and beverages as directed.Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, work surfaces, and refrigerators.Sweep, mop, and maintain kitchen and dietary service areas.Store groceries and supplies safely and efficiently.Remove trash and maintain a clean, sanitary work environment.Follow all food safety, infection control, and dietary department procedures.Support cooks and dietary supervisors as needed.Work collaboratively with residents, families, and staff across all departments. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Food Handler Certificate required or ability to obtain upon hire.Ability to follow recipes, written instructions, and safety procedures.Strong teamwork and communication skills.Previous healthcare, dietary, food service, or hospitality experience is preferred but not required. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform routine kitchen duties.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
