Dietary Aide

About the role

Riddle Village, a lifecare retirement community, seeks part-time Dietary Aides to join their dining department team. The community offers various dining venue options, including fine dining, buffet, pub-style, and café services. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with the elderly and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all aspects of meal service in Monticello Skilled Care and Personal Care areas, including food preparation, service, and clean-up.
• Follow established regulations and facility policies and procedures for safe food handling, correct portion size, and quality service techniques.
• Ensure food is attractive and palatable, served in correct portion sizes at proper temperatures according to physician-specified diet orders.

Requirements

• Must be 16 years old or older
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Must have the ability to perform basic math calculations
• Must be able to organize and prioritize workloads to meet established time deadlines and the needs of the department
• Must be able to follow verbal and written directions
• Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Must have the ability to demonstrate excellent customer service skills
• Must have a genuine interest in working with the elderly, including those with disabilities and special needs
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, both individually and as part of a team
• Unless hired for a pool position, must be able to work a schedule that includes every other weekend
• Must be able to stand on hard surfaces for long periods; endure high heat, high humidity levels, and high noise levels; have the ability to bend, reach and grasp, and lift 40 pounds

Pay

• 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.: Part-time
• 11:15 a.m. - 7:45 p.m.: Part-time
• 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. (32 hrs./biweekly): 32 hrs./biweekly
• 6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. (32 hrs./biweekly): 32 hrs./biweekly
• 11:15 a.m. - 7:45 p.m. (30 hrs./biweekly): 30 hrs./biweekly
• 3:45 p.m. - 7:15 p.m.: Part-time
• 4:15 p.m. - 7:45 p.m.: Part-time
