Dietary Aide

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail‑oriented Dietary Aide to join our team at Sands Point Center for Health & Rehabilitation in Port Washington, New York. The role involves serving three meals per day to residents, maintaining kitchen and dining area cleanliness, and interacting with staff, patients, and families.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals for patients and staff in accordance with menus, diet specifications, and sanitary practices.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, including cleaning and maintaining the dining room during and after each meal service, washing dishes, and stocking food and supplies.
• Interact with other department staff, patients, and patients’ families.
• Maintain high standards for work areas and personal appearance.
• Flexibility to work a variable schedule as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting or related field.
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude and adapt to changing priorities.
• Compliance with dress‑code requirements.
• Background checks completed prior to employment.
• TB test and physical within the last year, plus Hepatitis B shot and COVID‑19 vaccination.

Pay

Competitive hourly rate of $23 per hour.
