Responsibilities: Performs one of a number of tasks relating to the preparation and service of food; the delivery and collection of food and supplies, the appropriate operation of machinery and the sanitation of specific areas of the departmentPrepares, packages, portions and serves food to patients or cafeteria customers, as assignedPrepares and arranges food according to guidelinesHandles food in accordance with sanitary regulationsServes food while accurately filling requestsWorks the tray lineRefrigerates and labels perishable foodTransports food and supplies to designated areas within hospital or cafeteriaDelivers food trays, nourishment, supplemental feedings and supplies in an orderly and timely fashionDelivers and sets up special functionsCollects used carts or trays and returns them to the kitchenMaintains a sufficient amount of each item to support needsOperates machines used in the preparation of food or sanitation of equipment and work areaUses machines/equipment in a safe and efficient manner and according to policies and proceduresMaintains cleanliness of the work areaMops floors, cleans equipment, utensils, work and service areas, using detergents and germicides as requiredWashes dishes and potsCleans and polishes stainless steel equipmentPerforms environmental service duties (i.e. garbage removal)Performs related duties, as required Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent, requiredAbility to read, write and speak English, requiredAbility to communicate effectively and follow instructions11am to 7pm shift What We Offer: Competitive salary of $19 HOURLYOpportunities for professional growth and developmentCollaborative and dynamic work environment If you are a motivated and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
