About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our patients as a Dietary Aide at Perimeter Behavioral of Missouri - Saint Robert. In this role, the Dietary Aide will be responsible for the preparation and cooking of meals for adolescents facing behavioral challenges and medically complex physical conditions.
Responsibilities
- Prepare meals in compliance with established dietary guidelines, nutritional standards, and specialty needs.
- Collaborate with dietitians and healthcare providers to tailor meals for the medical and behavioral needs of patients, particularly adolescents.
- Serve meals promptly, ensuring proper portioning presentations, and a positive dining experience for patients.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including safe food handling practices.
- Monitor food supply levels, assist with ordering, and restock ingredients as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols and complete the required food safety certification within 30 days of hire.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid Missouri Driver's License is preferred.
- At least twenty-one (21) years of age.
- Experience in a mental health setting (preferably with adolescents), and knowledge of child/adolescent growth and development, and the ability to relate to adolescents with substance abuse or mental health problems is preferred.
- Serve Safe certification within 30 days of hire.
