Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and serving meals to residents in accordance with dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Ensure that food is served in an attractive and appetizing manner.
- Help with cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen and dining areas.
- Maintain inventory of food supplies and report shortages to the supervisor.
- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling of food.
- Provide support to the kitchen staff with food preparation tasks as directed.
- Ensure that meals are served promptly and in proper portion sizes.
- Communicate with other team members to ensure dietary needs are met.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous experience in food service or dietary settings is a plus, but not required.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices is an asset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
- Compassionate, reliable, and dedicated to providing excellent service.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Open availability, including evenings and weekends, is a MUST.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to handle hot and cold food equipment safely.
