Dietary Aide

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and serving meals to residents in accordance with dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Ensure that food is served in an attractive and appetizing manner.
• Help with cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen and dining areas.
• Maintain inventory of food supplies and report shortages to the supervisor.
• Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling of food.
• Provide support to the kitchen staff with food preparation tasks as directed.
• Ensure that meals are served promptly and in proper portion sizes.
• Communicate with other team members to ensure dietary needs are met.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous experience in food service or dietary settings is a plus, but not required.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices is an asset.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
• Compassionate, reliable, and dedicated to providing excellent service.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Open availability, including evenings and weekends, is a MUST.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to handle hot and cold food equipment safely.
