Dietary Aide

Duties

• Collects menus on a daily basis, assisting patients with selections if needed
• Maintains a friendly, efficient Spirit of Service attitude towards customers, co-workers and clients
• Visits patients on a daily basis and obtains food preferences and allergies
• From preparation, through tray line assembly, to delivery and passing of trays, meal quality, accuracy and delivery meets and/or exceeds departmental standards
• Stocks, replenishes, and sets up necessary stations in work areas
• Breaks down and cleans stations as assigned
• Fulfills proper portion control standards
• Affirms tray accuracy and adheres to proper time and temperature procedures
• Works in accordance with job profiles assigned daily
• To ensure patient safety, adequate pre and post service sanitation assignments are followed as described in job profiles
• Complies with HACCP guidelines including FIFO, Labeling, Dating and Food Danger Zones
• Maintains adequate hygiene standards inclusive of hair restrains, hand washing, hand sanitation and appropriate use of disposable hand gloves
• Performs related duties as required or assigned while continuing to observe patient rights and HIPPA regulations
• Responds to patient’s needs in a timely and professional fashion
• Adheres to regulatory and Hospital Standards, Policies, Procedures and Protocols
• Participates in all Department and Hospital in-services to ensure patient safety is never compromised
