What You'll Do As a Dietary Staff, you will assist in all dietary functions as directed/instructed and in accordance with established dietary policies and procedures. Responsibilities include: Collaborate with the facility dietitian and implement recommended changes. Maintain effective communication with interdepartmental staff to ensure quality food service. Prepare and serve meals on time, following portion control and dietary guidelines; assist with special meals and snacks. Set up and clean dining areas, trays, and carts; wash and store utensils and equipment properly. Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary food storage, prep, and service areas; follow all health and safety protocols. Monitor food inventory, assist with deliveries, substitutions, and report issues or recommend improvements to the Dietary Manager. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Able to follow oral and written instructions and maintain cleanliness, safety, and order in food service areas. Demonstrates patience, tact, and a positive attitude when interacting with residents and others. Open to learning and applying new methods to improve dietary practices.
