Dietary Aide

George Washington Health & Rehabilitation in Alexandria, VA is seeking a dependable and caring Dietary Aide to join our team. Dietary Aides play an important role in supporting the nutritional needs and overall well-being of residents. What You'll Do

• Assist with preparing and serving meals to residents
• Set up and clean dining areas before and after meals
• Deliver meal trays to residents as needed
• Assist with meal service in accordance with resident dietary needs and preferences
• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and dining areas
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures
• Assist the dietary team with other duties as needed
• Provide friendly and respectful service to residents and their families

Qualifications

• Previous dietary or food service experience is preferred but not required
• Experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is a plus
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Dependable, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to cleanliness and food safety
• A positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent service
