Dietary Aide

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and/or service of meals/food for patients, employees, and special events as instructed by the Dietary Manager.
• Serve food and snacks according to the planned menu/spreadsheet and the patient’s/resident’s food preferences and diet order.
• Auxiliary in the food preparation and portioning process under the supervision of the Cook, adhering to proper food handling/safety techniques and meeting the required quantities, timeliness, and dietary specifications.
• May assist with dishwashing and other tasks as directed by the Dietary Manager.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must possess, as a minimum, a High School Diploma or equivalent G.E.D.
• Preferred to have a Food Handler’s permit according to local regulatory requirements.
• Strong preference for experience in food preparation and service within a skilled nursing or long-term care facility.
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English.
• Able to provide reliable transportation.

Pay & Schedule

Posted Salary Range: USD $15.00 - USD $17.00 /Hr. Wage Commensuration: The wage range for this role takes into account various factors including skill sets, experience, education, and training, as well as organizational needs.
