Dietary Aide

Job Summary

The Dietary Aide assists with meal preparation, tray assembly, meal service, and maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment. This role works closely with the dietary team to support residents' nutritional needs while following all food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble resident meal trays according to prescribed diets
• Deliver and collect meal trays in a timely and courteous manner
• Assist with food preparation and portioning as directed
• Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
• Clean and sanitize food preparation areas, dining rooms, and kitchen equipment
• Stock food, supplies, and kitchen inventory as needed
• Follow all infection control, food safety, and sanitation regulations
• Provide friendly and respectful service to residents and staff
• Assist with other dietary department duties as assigned

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Previous dietary, food service, or healthcare experience is a plus, but not required
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills are required
• The ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds is necessary
