Position Summary
The Dietary Aide assists with meal preparation, food service, and maintaining a sanitary dining environment while delivering exceptional customer service to residents, staff, and guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals and snacks according to dietary guidelines
- Set up trays and ensure proper portioning and presentation of food
- Deliver meals to residents and assist with dining room service as needed
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas
- Maintain proper food storage and labeling standards
- Support cooks and dietary staff as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous food service experience in healthcare or hospitality is a plus
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
