Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify residents' dietary needs and preferences.
- Assist residents with the selective menu process.
- Update meal tickets based on preference, menu selections, and diet/supplement orders.
- Must be able to provide point-of-service meal delivery.
- Other duties assigned as necessary.
Requirements
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
- Must be able to follow oral and written communication.
- Maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc., and maintain the appearance of the dining service areas; perform regular inspections of dietary services areas for sanitation, order, safety and proper performance of assigned duties.
- Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level they are currently functioning.
- Possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing dietary practices.
- Possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
