Apple Rehab Farmington Valley is a 130-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation center located on Farmington Avenue in Plainville, CT, easily accessible to I-84 from the New Britain, Hartford, and Waterbury areas. About the role

The Dietary Aide assists in the preparation of meals and snacks, as well as the clean-up of dining areas. This role involves daily interactions with residents and ensures compliance with infection control, safety, and sanitation functions of the facility.

Responsibilities

• Assist with receiving, rotating, and storing supplies and food
• Clean work areas, wash dishes, pans, and utensils
• Maintain clean and safe food storage and work areas
• Properly maintain equipment and supplies
• Handle food in accordance with sanitary regulations
• Report all violations of safety or sanitation rules to supervisor immediately

Requirements

• Ability to walk, bend, lift, push, pull, turn, stoop, and stretch
• Ability to unload and stock groceries on shelves of various heights and lift items up to 50 lbs
• Ability to write and record data, and read and follow oral and written instructions in English
• Ability to remain calm and work efficiently in emergencies
• Professional communication with residents, staff, and family members
