Dietary Aide

Responsibilities Review, prepare, and serve meals in accordance with planned menus, standardized recipes, therapeutic diets, and special diet ordersPrepare and serve residents' nutritional bedtime snacks and provide approved substitute foods for residents who decline scheduled mealsMaintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment while following all Infection Prevention and Control standardsPerform dishwashing and cleaning procedures, ensuring utensils, cookware, and equipment are cleaned and available for the next meal servicePrepare and deliver snacks, food carts, and meal trays to designated resident areasServe food and beverages in the dining room in a courteous and professional mannerSweep and mop kitchen, dining, and dish room floors as directed by the supervisorAssist with stocking supplies and maintaining inventory as assignedFollow all food safety, sanitation, and OSHA guidelinesReport equipment concerns or safety hazards to the Dietary Manager promptlyWork collaboratively with the Dietary Team to provide an excellent dining experience for residents Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferredPrevious food service, dietary, restaurant, or healthcare experience preferredAbility to read, write, speak, and understand EnglishKnowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is preferredAbility to properly use and care for dietary equipment and suppliesAbility to perform routine cleaning and sanitation dutiesStrong customer service skills with a compassionate and resident-focused attitudePatience, dependability, and a positive team-oriented approachAbility to stand for extended periods and lift, push, or carry food carts and supplies as neededMust not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of residents, staff, or others in the workplace Benefits Medical InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceFlexible Spending Account (FSA)Company-Paid Life InsuranceCritical Illness InsuranceShort-Term Disability InsuranceAccident InsuranceHospital Indemnity Insurance401(k) Retirement Savings PlanOn-Demand Pay OptionPaid Time Off (PTO)Tuition Reimbursement Program Job Type: Part time Location: ALIYA of Palatine | Palatine, IL Apply Today If you're passionate about providing exceptional food service and enhancing the dining experience for residents, we'd love to hear from you.
