Dietary Aide

Position Summary

Performs various duties associated with the production and service of patient meals.

About the role

NHC Kingsport is a 90-bed post-acute 24-hour skilled nursing Health Care Center located at 2300 Pavilion Drive, Kingsport, TN 37660. We serve individuals who need skilled nursing care after conditions such as a stroke, joint replacement surgery, a cardiac procedure, or a serious illness.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves meals to patients according to dietary guidelines and preferences.
• Ensures food safety and quality standards are met.
• Assists with meal preparation and serving in accordance with patient needs and dietary restrictions.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of kitchen and dining areas.
• Communicates with healthcare staff regarding patient dietary needs and concerns.

Requirements

• Experience in dietary healthcare preferred, but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Skills

• Attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Strong communication skills.

• $600 sign-on bonus for full-time positions.

Schedule

• Day shift: 5:30 am - 2 pm | 5:30 am - 4 pm
• Evening shift: 9:30 am - 8 pm | 12 pm - 8 pm
