Dietary Aide Position Overview and Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of meals and snacks.
• Clean foods, cut, chop, measure, prep, etc. as necessary.
• Prepare the dining area for meal service.
• Assist with plating and serving meals in a manner that is palatable and appetizing for clients.
• Serve the appropriate meals and portions to the clients in the dining room.
• Return all dishes and service items after meal service is completed.
• Absorb all waste from the dining area.
• Absorb all waste from the kitchen area.
• Assist in the cleaning and sanitation of kitchen and dining room areas.

Qualifications

• A current health card issued by the State of Nevada.
• Ability to effectively communicate with team members and clients.
• Must be able to read, write, understand, and speak English in order to ensure accurate communication and documentation.
• Perform job duties in a professional manner.
• Strong interpersonal skills - work well with a diverse range of individuals.
• Customer-service approach to work.
• Ability to stand for the majority of the shift.
• Ability to travel through the work area.
• Ability to bend, squat, reach, grasp, hold, lift, and carry up to 20 pounds.
