Dietary Aide

About the role

We are seeking a Cook in the Sioux Falls and Canton area for our facility in Canton. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about substance use disorders and mental health.

Since its inception in 1973, Keystone Treatment Center has established itself as a nationally recognized inpatient and outpatient treatment center for substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health concerns. At our inpatient facility in Canton, South Dakota, just 30 minutes from Sioux Falls, we treat adolescents and adults age 19 and older of all genders who are struggling with addictions to alcohol and other drugs.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine tasks related to clean up and sanitation of kitchen, dining, or serving areas.
• Properly prepare, serve, and store food in accordance with facility policies.
• Ensure compliance with state or federal regulations.
• Prepare foods according to standardized recipes and approved menu.
• Utilize service methods and food handling techniques to ensure quality.
• Understand and apply the sanitation procedures needed to provide a safe and healthy environment.
• Adhere to menu compliance and special diet compliance, and report any dietary non-compliance, concern, or complaint of patients to the dietician, supervisor, or manager.
• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• ServSafe Certification or similar food safety certification, where required by the state and facility.
