Responsibilities

• Provide 5-star nutrition-focused meals for our amazing residents!
• Plating and portioning food in a safe manner (modified and therapeutic diets) in a fast paced --newly renovated dining room and making a difference in the lives of our residents.
• Building relationships with our wonderful residents!
• Working with a high quality, collaborative medical and culinary team.
• Sets tables and maintains workstations in proper order.
• Receives orders, provides service and requested items both graciously and courteously.
• Composes the meal tray / food in a timely manner
• Clears dishes from tables after meal service
• Provides consistently high levels of customer service for our residents and their guests, adapting to the needs and service level expectations associated with each dining location.
• Washes dishes and prepares the work station for the following meal
• Maintains safe and sanitary conditions in work areas.
• Exhibits acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies with department dress code.
• Completes all assigned cleaning tasks.

Qualifications

• A desire to make a difference!
• Willingness to grow!
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively.
• 1 year of Dietary Aide or Serving experience preferred
• 1 year cold food preparation experience preferred, hot food preparation not necessary
• Understands the needs for today’s seniors (vision, hearing and memory challenges)
• Enjoys multi-tasking and following specific health requirements in a caring, compassionate manner
