Diesel Training Instructor

About the role

Lincoln Tech is seeking a Heavy Equipment Diesel Training Instructor in the DFW area who are ready to share their skills as an Instructor in our Republic Services custom training partnership program. This role will be responsible for preparing and delivering quality instruction as well as motivating and providing support to prepare students for a career in the field successfully. This is an exciting opportunity with our partner, Republic Services, for technicians who are enthusiastic about the industry to share their knowledge and experience with the next generation of professionals.

Responsibilities

• Prepare training materials, classroom, and workshop
• Facilitate training activities based on learning objectives
• Verify student competency of training objectives and identify students needing additional training
• Facilitate training of additional skills outside training objectives i.e.: shop cleaning, training supplies care, and organization, proper care of vehicles while not in use, tool organization, etc.
• Ability to use multiple forms of training tools: Direct, PowerPoint, online modules, student-led review sessions, Instructor-led training, etc.
• Ensure all training materials, aids, and equipment are in working order and returned to their proper location

Requirements

• 5+ years of Heavy Equipment Technician experience
• Komatsu or Caterpillar is preferred
• ASE's (current or expired)
• Effective communication skills
• High School or GED
• Valid Driver's License
• No prior teaching experience needed - Instructor experience is a plus
