Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance services within acceptable standards for Dayton Freight Lines.
- Diagnose, repair, and replace external engine components.
- Test and repair entire truck chassis electrical systems.
- Develop skills to repair all major power and drive train components.
- Perform PM inspections and services according to DFL policy and time standards.
- Maintain suspension and brake systems.
- Perform tire maintenance according to DFL policy.
- Conduct vehicle road tests to ensure quality repairs.
- Perform other maintenance duties as assigned.
- Interact positively and professionally with fellow employees.
- Improve shop, grounds, and equipment maintenance processes.
- Record all work and labor in the EMS system.
- Work with the Parts Department to maintain stock levels.
- Comply with Parts Department procedures and rules.
Qualifications
- Possess a valid Driver's License.
- Basic math skills.
- Fluent in English.
- Able to pass a drug screen.
- At least 18 years old.
