Diesel Technicians (Mechanic) - Compact Equipment Repairs

About the role

At Leppo Rents, we're seeking experienced diesel mechanics capable of handling repairs and servicing compact construction equipment such as skid steers, mini excavators, and telehandlers. Our ideal candidate is customer-focused, skilled at troubleshooting, and eager to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex diagnostics and repairs on compact construction equipment (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems).
• Handle routine maintenance to ensure our rental fleet is always ready to work.
• Use computer-based diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and solve problems efficiently.
• Keep detailed repair and maintenance records and manage work orders.
• Mentor and collaborate with teammates across various departments.

Requirements

• Experience repairing and servicing compact construction equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and get machines back to work quickly.
• Customer-first attitude – responsible for the face of our service.
• Team player who is ready to step in and keep projects moving.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Knowledge of diesel engines, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and hydraulic systems.
• Experience with computer-based diagnostic tools.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
