Diesel Technician / Mechanic - Nampa, ID

Diesel Technicians at Gordon Truck Centers (GTC) dealerships lead the charge in workmanship, commitment to safety, and providing reliable, first-class service to customers across the Pacific Northwest. GTC builds their team with the best employees and we're hiring experienced Diesel Technicians for the Nampa, ID Freightliner Northwest location.

Responsibilities

• Lead workmanship and safety initiatives.
• Work with cutting-edge industry technologies.
• Perform routine maintenance and complete engine overhauls.
• Conduct inspections and diagnostic tests.
• Repair or replace vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions, and braking systems.
• Read and understand schematics for electrical and air systems.
• Develop technical skills through training opportunities.
• Test equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications.
• Make necessary adjustments if required.
• Ensure the cleanliness of the shop.

Requirements

• Heavy equipment dealership experience is preferred.
• Able to read and understand schematics for electrical and air systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Team player mentality.
• Belief in safety first.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• Motor vehicle records check is required for positions with driving responsibilities.
