Position Overview

You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered vehicles, including trucks, vans, and other medium-duty fleet vehicles. You will use your expertise to ensure vehicles operate at their peak performance, precisely identifying and fixing mechanical and electrical issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on diesel engines and related components.
  • Repair and maintain diesel engines, fuel, exhaust, electrical, and other mechanical components.
  • Inspect and test vehicle systems to identify defects or damage.
  • Replace or repair defective parts, including brakes, transmissions, radiators, etc.
  • Conduct routine maintenance, including oil changes, fluid checks, and tire rotations.
  • Keep detailed records of work performed through our Shop-Ware Software System, as well as notes and inspection photos.
  • Collaborate with service advisors and other technicians to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay up to date with the latest diesel technology and repair techniques.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Diesel Technician with at least 5 years of hands-on experience working on diesel engines.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic codes.
  • Proficiency with diesel diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • ASE certification or equivalent is preferred but not required.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus) with insurable motor vehicle report.
