Additionally, M&D stocks a wide range of turbos (both new and remanufactured), in-frame overhaul kits, filtration, and aftertreatment parts, including DPFs, DOCs, EGRs, sensors, and more engine parts.
Position Summary
The Diesel Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing vehicles, equipment, and engines. Key responsibilities include:
- Using various hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, and diagnostic equipment.
- Providing technical expertise to vehicles and equipment.
- Overhauling gas and diesel engines.
- Installing various components such as fuel injectors, turbos, and other engine parts.
- Performing DOT inspections.
- Inspecting intakes on all vehicles and equipment.
- Performing service calls with minimal supervision.
- Carrying out repairs with minimal supervision.
- Providing exceptional customer service to all customers.
- Maintaining a clean work environment.
- Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience working in a technician role.
- Must provide own tools, including torque wrenches, power tools, hand tools up to 1 ½ inches, and pressure gauges. M&D provides specialty tools.
- Experience performing service calls is preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; tech school is appreciated.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Follow all safety policies.
- Excellent driving record.
- Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screening.
