Schedule
Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Pay
$38.00 - $43.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of diesel, fleet, bus, truck, heavy equipment, or automotive maintenance and repair experience, or equivalent technical school education and experience
- Strong vehicle diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Valid driver's license required
- CDL Class B or ability to obtain within 60 days of employment (company-paid training provided)
- Possession of a mechanic's tool set required
- Willingness to participate in the ASE certification program (training, testing, and pay increases provided)
- Strong computer and documentation skills
- School bus, fleet, transit, municipal, or heavy truck experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for our passengers
- Diagnose and perform all phases of vehicle maintenance including brake repairs and inspections, engine tune-ups, suspension repairs, drivetrain repairs, transmission repairs, clutch replacements, and other mechanical repairs
- Perform preventive maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems
- Complete work orders accurately and maintain proper service documentation
- Aid with mobile emergency repair services when needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Follow all company safety and maintenance procedures
Requirements
- This position is considered safety-sensitive and is subject to DOT drug testing.
- DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason.
