Diesel Technician

Primary Responsibilities

  • Performs scheduled preventive maintenance and service inspections on a variety of medium and heavy-duty vehicles
  • Performs diagnostic and repair work on all types of vehicles
  • Follows established technical & administrative processes
  • Completes repair orders & parts usage forms
  • Communicates effectively with supervisor, team members & customers
  • Remain current on technical & regulation requirements
  • Performs road service calls as required

Position Requirements

  • High school diploma, technical school or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the field of automotive, truck or bus repair
  • Own & maintain the proper hand tools to perform job functions
  • Proficient with computer operation/usage
  • Valid driver’s license
  • A New York State motor vehicle inspector certificate is preferred but not required
