Diesel Technician
About the role
We are offering a $5000 sign on bonus for a talented Diesel Technician / Mechanic to join our Distribution business in Louisville, KY. This position is for 2nd Shift: 11:30AM - 8PM, Monday - Friday.
Responsibilities
- Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
- Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
- Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
- Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
- Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
- Maintain own tools
Requirements
- Completes complex internal engine repairs
- Unassisted Engine overhaul experience (Preferred)
- Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components
- Proficient experience with engine diagnostic software
- Must have own tools
- Current valid license is required for this role
- Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience
- 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
Qualifications
- Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
- Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
- Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)
Skills
Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products

Pay
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
Schedule
This position is for 2nd Shift: 11:30AM - 8PM, Monday - Friday. Due to the operational nature and specific job duties of this role, work is required to be completed 100% in person/On-site.
