Diesel Service Apprentice / Mechanic-Weekend (Saturday or Sunday)

About the role

The Diesel Service Apprentice / Mechanic role at Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is a first stage of training for Service Technician status. This position performs light maintenance work under close supervision, including preventive maintenance, pre-delivery inspections, light electrical repairs, and assisting Service Technicians in heavy-duty truck repair.

Essential Functions

• Performs maintenance type work (i.e. preventive maintenance, pre-delivery inspections, light electrical repairs, etc.) under supervision.
• Assists Service Technician in heavy-duty truck repair.
• Attends training sessions to gain knowledge and experience.
• Maintains a neat and orderly work area and properly handles company tools.
• Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must be able to pass a drug test.
