Diesel Mechanic - Up to $5k Sign On Bonus
About the role
Diesel Mechanics of all experience levels are encouraged to apply! Diesel Mechanics are eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $5,000. You will repair and maintain our fleet of vehicles and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair fleet vehicles and equipment
- Read and interpret Vehicle Condition Reports and repair orders
- Communicate with supervisor and equipment operators for clarification of maintenance needs
- Complete paperwork associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and account for applied times
- Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA and organizational standards
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
- Maintain a positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner that fosters good relationships with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers, and management
Requirements
- Equivalent of (1) high school diploma or G.E.D. certification and 4 years of related equipment maintenance and repair; OR (2) 6 years of related equipment maintenance and repair
- Valid driver license
Physical Requirements
- Handle tools and equipment, requiring fine motor skills
- Reach with hands and arms
- Climb and walk on heights often greater than 4 feet
- Occasionally lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
