Tuesday – Saturday, 10:00AM - 6:30PM

About the Role
As a Diesel Mechanic/Technician, you’ll be the expert our customers rely on to keep their fleets on the road. This field-based role is perfect for skilled technicians who enjoy independence and variety in their work. You’ll be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on Class 6-8 trucks. Responsibilities
- Perform onsite preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on Class 6-8 trucks in a field environment
- Respond to dispatch requests for scheduled and unscheduled service or maintenance
- Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and air systems
- Use advanced diagnostic tools, including handheld computers and precision instruments, to identify and fix issues
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs
- Road test vehicles to ensure repairs meet quality standards
- Meet or exceed industry-standard repair times
- Collaborate with the team to support each other as needed
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on diesel tech experience working on Class 6-8 trucks
- Expertise in CNG engine systems (a plus)
- DOT inspection and air brake repair expertise
- Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and drivers
- Comfortable using mobile apps, navigation systems, and digital tools for organization and documentation
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions at customer yards
- Independent, dependable, and self-motivated with a safety-first mindset
- Must be 23+ with a clean driving record and a valid driver’s license
- Bring your own hand tools (all other equipment provided)
Work Environment
- Work in dynamic, high-traffic areas where safety and precision are critical
- Exposure to dust, diesel fumes, and noise typical of a shop or yard environment
- Handle chemicals, oils, and grease as part of repair work
- Lift, move, and position heavy equipment or components
- Physical demands include bending, kneeling, crawling, and crouching to access vehicle components
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions
