What You'll Be Doing

A Diesel Mechanic/Lube Technician plays a key role in keeping our customers' equipment running at peak performance. You’ll diagnose and repair diesel engines, small engines, agricultural machinery, and related implements with precision and efficiency. Your work will be performed to the highest safety and quality standards, ensuring every repair is completed right the first time. This role offers the opportunity to apply your technical expertise in a fast-paced shop environment while collaborating with a skilled team committed to delivering exceptional service.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of mechanic experience with diesel and small gas engines
  • Must own and maintain a full set of tools
  • Intermediate computer skills, including use of diagnostic software and repair documentation
  • Clean driving record and ability to comply with DOT regulations as applicable
  • Ability to diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues
  • Flexible with work schedule including shift variations and after-hours call response
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a customer-focused attitude
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and work in confined spaces while performing repairs, maintenance, and equipment handling
  • Requires use of hands and fingers to handle tools, operate machinery, perform detailed mechanical work, and exercise manual dexterity
  • Absolutely required to lift, carry, and maneuver equipment and parts up to 50–75 lbs., and occasionally heavier with assistance
  • Requires close vision, depth perception, and the ability to read schematics, manuals, and computer screens; hearing ability sufficient to communicate with coworkers and customers in person and over the phone
  • Absolutely required to work in various environments, including shop, outdoor conditions, confined spaces, and elevated areas
  • Absolutely required to safely operate company vehicles, forklifts, and other equipment
  • Absolutely required to travel to company locations, customer sites, or job sites as required
