Join our growing team today! We are looking to add a Diesel Mechanic Intern to our team for Summer 2026 at one of our Portland, OR locations!
About the role
The Diesel Mechanic Intern will gain hands-on experience in the diesel repair and maintenance of construction equipment.
Responsibilities
- Assist experienced mechanics with diagnosing and repairing various types of diesel engines and related systems
- Perform routine maintenance on construction vehicles and equipment
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment
- Document work performed and communicate effectively with team members
Requirements
- Pursuing a Higher Education degree in a related field
- Must be currently enrolled
- Interest in serving the materials/construction industry
Qualifications
- Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen
- Display a professional and courteous attitude towards all team members
Skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Attention to detail
- Good communication skills
