Diesel Mechanic II

Job Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs as necessary on tractors and tanker trailers.
• Document/record work performed electronically on computer-based maintenance system.
• Perform road repairs when necessary.
• Perform electrical/electronic repairs on tractor and trailers.
• Gas and electrical welding experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/equivalent
• 1-3 years vehicle maintenance experience
• Mechanical background, with above average computer experience/skills
• Troubleshooting and repair experience a plus
• Welding knowledge and experience a plus
• Energetic, highly motivated and well organized, self-starter with strong commitment to safety
• Strong team player with ability to work well with fellow mechanics/drivers/operations personnel
• Solid work history

Requirements

• Technical School Graduates: Preference given to those with a background in Industrial Systems, Machine Tool Technology, Electromechanical Technology, Mechatronics, Automotive Technology, HVAC, Process Technology, Electrical Technology, Instrumentation Technology
