About the role

Reyes Fleet Management, one of the largest privately held fleets in the U.S., is looking to hire a Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Technician A to perform repairs and maintenance on tractor and trailer equipment at the Reyes Beverage Group facility in Pompano Beach.

Schedule

Shift: Tuesday‑Friday 12:30 pm‑9:00 pm, Saturday 8:00 am‑4:30 pm.

Pay

$35.00‑$38.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, rebuild and repair fleet equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and related parts).
• Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance through the online Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical problems using diagnostic technology/software when applicable.
• Perform complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision.
• Adhere to company, local, state, and federal policies and regulations including DOT, OSHA, and Reyes Fleet Management standards; ensure compliance with safety programs, proper tool selection, PPE use, machine guarding, and established safety practices.
• May require driving Reyes Family of Businesses, Reyes Fleet Management, and customer vehicles; regulated by DOT and requires a current driver qualification file (annual MVR check, DOT Physical, Safety Performance History from prior employers, DOT Drug Screening for CDL holders within 30 days of start, FMSCA Clearinghouse review).
• Some travel may be required.
• Perform other projects or duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3+ years of related experience.
• Must possess own tools.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record per DOT regulations to operate company vehicles.
• Valid CDL (License A) highly desired; mandatory in some locations.
• Ability to frequently lift, push, and/or pull >50 lb; occasionally >100 lb.
• Technical School Certification (preferred).
