Responsibilities
- Performs preventive maintenance services
- Inspects, diagnoses and repairs vehicles and equipment
- Performs inspection, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment
- Performs service calls
- Cleans and maintains a safe work area
- Conducts safety checks on vehicles
- Assists Lead Mechanics as needed
- Reviews and completes repairs identified on Vehicle Condition Reports
- Completes paperwork associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounts for applied times
Requirements
- Equivalent of (1) high school diploma or G.E.D. certification and 1 year of related equipment maintenance and repair; OR 4 years of related equipment maintenance and repair
- Valid driver license
Physical Requirements
- Handle tools, equipment, fine motor skills
- Reach with hands and arms
- Climb and walk on heights often greater than 4 feet
- Occasionally must be able to lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
