Fleet of School Buses for Ocean Twp. Board of Education
Responsibilities
- Complete preventative maintenance inspections (PM’s).
- Complete Repairs on defects found during a PM.
- Diagnose and perform all phases of vehicle and equipment repairs including but not limited to brakes, suspensions, engines, and transmissions.
- Perform all phases of vehicle and equipment repairs including but not limited to brakes, suspensions, engines, and transmissions.
- Complete repairs on defects noted during daily vehicle inspections-pre-trip inspections (DVI’s).
- Ensure work orders are completed accurately.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license required.
- At least 1 year of automotive or diesel maintenance & repair employment experience or a combination of technical school education & experience.
- Mechanic’s toolset ASE certifications preferred.
- Must be willing to participate in company ASE certification program (company training, testing, and bonuses provided!)
- Subject to DOT drug testing.
Qualifications

Physical Requirements
- Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day)
- Frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
- Push and pull objects up to XX pounds, occasionally throughout the workday
- Lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance
- Occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
- Tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise
