About the role
Transdev is now hiring a Second Shift Diesel Mechanic for our shop serving City of Thornton!
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
- Diagnose and perform all phases of vehicle and equipment repair including brakes, suspensions, engines, drivetrains, transmissions, and other repairs.
- Ensure work orders are completed accurately.
- Obtain four (4) ASE Certifications within one (1) year of employment.
- Aid with road calls and emergency services as necessary.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license required.
- At least 3 years of automotive or diesel maintenance & repair employment experience or a combination of technical school education & experience.
- Possess a mechanic’s tool set.
- ASE certifications preferred.
- Must be willing to participate in company ASE certification program (company training, testing, and bonuses provided!).
- Subject to DOT drug testing.

Skills
- Expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines across various vehicles and equipment.
Benefits
- Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks

Pay
Competitive compensation package of minimum $30.00 – Maximum $50.00 An additional $.10 per hour for each ASE certification you possess or obtain.
Schedule
The shift schedule is Monday - Thursday, 1:00pm - 11:30pm.
