About the role
Ryder is hiring a Senior Level Diesel Technician in Suncook, New Hampshire. This role offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and opportunities for growth.
Responsibilities
- Performs standard vehicle maintenance
- Performs preventive maintenance
- Diagnoses complex mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computers when applicable
- Completes complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision
- Works unsupervised on most tasks
- Performs facility maintenance duties
- Interacts with customers/drivers to properly determine the nature of complaints once assigned a task
- Utilizes key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation
- Works in accordance with all federal/provincial and corporate compliance guidelines (e.g., safety, DOT, MOT)
- Acts as a mentor for Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels
- Demonstrate the ability to access and use internal and external maintenance documents
- Supports operations with other support duties as required
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Vocational or Technical Certification
- Post-secondary degree or Technical Certifications preferred
- Basic tools required
- Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines including: routine preventative maintenance, oil changes, brake and tire work, basic diagnostics and repairs, including AC and electrical systems
- Three (3) years or more relevant work experience, preferred
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred
- All other certifications as required by location, required
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy duty and medium duty equipment
- Knowledge of and the ability to apply knowledge of computer skills: PC, Windows, mouse, etc.
- Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire
- Passes a Ryder Drug Test, DOT physical, and Ryder road test
- Passes a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years

Pay
- $38.60 per hour
- Certification Bonus of $100 for each New ASE Certification Obtained up to $700
- Quarterly Bonus: Ryder Pays you up to $500 Every Quarter - Four Times Per Year
- Sign On Bonus: $3500
Schedule
- Sunday–Wednesday 4 - 10 Hours Days
- Second Shift 2:00 pm – 1:00 am
