Diesel Mechanic
About the role
R+L Carriers is seeking a Diesel Mechanic at their Louisville, KY Service Center. The position involves daily maintenance and repairs on Class 8 trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts.
Responsibilities
- Maintain trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, and perform welding as needed
- Handle preventive maintenance and major repairs on diesel engines
- Use Cetaris for work orders
- Drive Class 8 commercial trucks
- Perform trailer preventive maintenance and repairs
Requirements
- Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines
- Able to lift 50 lbs
- Class A CDL license
- Experience with AC and electrical systems
- Preferred 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience
- Experience with Cummins and Detroit engines
Qualifications
- Must have your own tools
- Class A CDL holder
- Experience driving Class 8 commercial trucks
- Experience in trailer preventive maintenance and repairs
Skills
- Preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines

Earn up to $40.48 per hour
