Diesel Mechanic

About the role

R&L Carriers is seeking a Diesel Mechanic at their Baltimore, MD Service Center. The position involves daily maintenance and repairs on Class 8 trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, and perform welding as needed.
• Handle both preventative maintenance and major repairs on diesel engines.
• Work with AC and electrical systems as required.
• Lift up to 50 lbs as part of the job duties.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
• Experience with Cummins and Detroit engines.
• Proficiency in using Cetaris for work orders.
• Knowledge of trailer preventive maintenance and repairs.

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

• Experience with preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines.
• Experience handling major repairs.
• Experience with AC and electrical systems.
• The ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Own tools for the job.

Pay

$40.35 per hour.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday - Friday, 3rd shift from 12:00am to 10:30am.
