Diesel Mechanic

About the role

PRS is looking for an Experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team at the CSX Syracuse rail terminal in a recession-proof industry with Teamsters Union 317. You will be an employee of Pacific Rail Services and not an employee of the Railroad.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair forklifts, company vehicles, and hostler fleet.
• Maintain Hostler Fleet.
• Aid in other areas as needed by managers.

Requirements

• Prior experience required with a minimum of 2 years in the mechanical field and preventative maintenance mindset.
• Own tools (yearly tool allowance provided).
• Experience and knowledge working with Air, Electrical, Hydraulic, and Diesel systems and components.
• Valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• With verifiable mechanical experience.
• IPCS test (physical).
• Drug screening.
• Required to join local union.

Skills
