Responsibilities
- Perform diagnosis and preventive maintenance services
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair on a variety of heavy-duty diesel vehicles and equipment
- Work under limited supervision and select from written instructions and established procedures to accomplish assigned tasks
- Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with Company / OSHA Standards and perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures
- Utilize vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs
- Perform service calls for emergency breakdowns
- Conduct annual safety checks on vehicles
- Complete required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times
- Absorb and assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
- Active applicable certificates, licenses, or registrations are a plus
- Valid driver’s license
- At least 18 years of age
Qualifications
- Able to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
- Able to pass pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check
Skills
- Physical coordination with finger dexterity (such as keyboarding, machine operation, etc.)
- Physical effort in handling heavy objects throughout the workday
- Exposure to physical occupational risks (such as cuts, burns, exposure to toxic chemicals, etc.)
- Exposure to physical environment which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements often
