JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on heavy-duty diesel trucks and/or equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance (oil changes, brakes, inspections, etc.).
  • Repair/replace major components including engines, transmissions, turbos, and differentials.
  • Use diagnostic software (Cummins Insite, Detroit Diagnostic Link, OEM tools).
  • Complete service documentation for repairs, parts, and compliance.
  • Communicate repairs and recommendations to customers and internal teams.
  • Follow all safety standards (OSHA, DOT, company protocols).
  • Maintain tools and equipment for daily operations.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years working on diesel trucks or heavy equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with diesel engines, electrical systems, and diagnostics.
  • Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals.
  • Experience with OEM diagnostic tools preferred.
  • Basic welding/fabrication a plus.
  • Valid driver's license required (CDL preferred).
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work in shop conditions.
