Diesel Mechanic Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmission systems, hydraulic systems, and other components of drilling, and heavy construction equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on a variety of heavy machinery and equipment.
- Interpret diagnostic test results to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
- Utilize technical manuals, diagnostic equipment, and other tools to troubleshoot and resolve problems efficiently.
- Complete repair orders accurately and in a timely manner.
- Always adhere to safety procedures and guidelines in the performance of duties.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably working with heavy oil field equipment.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, diesel engines, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Proficiency in diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Compressor and generator experience preferable
- Skid steer, backhoe, and telehandler experience preferable
