Diesel Mechanic

Job Duties

• Perform scheduled routine maintenance on tractors and trailers.
• Evaluate and R&R parts as required to effect repairs on defective equipment.
• Troubleshoot engine performance problems, make recommendations for repair and create estimates based on proper diagnosis, repair, or replacement.
• Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
• Maintain parts inventory and cleanliness in the warehouse repair area.
• Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on equipment.
• Able to work independently and focus on safety and time deadlines.

Requirements

• Familiarity with Detroit diesel engines.
• Cummins diesel engine experience is an asset.
• DOT annual inspection certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Driver's license.

• Preventative and routine maintenance service.

Schedule

10 hour shift Monday to Friday.

Pay

$25.00 - $35.00 per hour.
