Diesel Mechanic

About the role

We are hiring a Diesel Mechanic in Minooka, IL (AMG) for bulk cryo logistics. This position is open.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and maintain fleet including tractors, trailers, and specialized equipment.
• Diagnose and repair highway delivery equipment, including hydraulic pumping and product transfer pumps.
• Develop and implement solutions to specific problems within the supply chain and logistics environment.
• Troubleshoot and repair diesel tractors, cryogenic trailers, tube trailers, and associated equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance, equipment upgrades, and read/interpret equipment condition reports.
• Communicate with supervisor/operator for clarification of problems and discuss preventive techniques with operators.
• Promote safety of all employees as the top priority.

Requirements

• 2+ years experience in highway equipment maintenance.
• Experience with a variety of basic hand, power tools and equipment.
• Own hand tools.
• Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and written.
• Basic knowledge of transportation regulations.
• Class A CDL with HazMat; DOT brake certification preferred (Not Required).
• Computer literacy; Google Chrome, TMT, on-board OEM computer diagnosis systems.
• Solid diagnostic experience in ABS and DEF systems, including maintenance software programs.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent; technical school classes preferred.
• Experience with ABS and DEF systems.
• Driven by results and capable of excelling in the office and on the shop floor.
