Diesel Mechanic

Job Summary

We are hiring a Diesel Mechanic in Odessa, TX. The position is open and requires 2+ years of experience in highway equipment maintenance, a high school diploma or GED, and a Class A CDL with HazMat and DOT brake certification. The role involves maintaining and repairing diesel tractors and specialized systems, implementing creative solutions for smooth equipment flow, and collaborating with the team to ensure a "Safety First" environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and overhaul diesel tractors and specialized systems to meet DOT standards and safety protocols.
• Implement creative solutions to ensure smooth equipment flow and translate maintenance reports into service strategies.
• Cultivate a "Safety First" environment by communicating technical needs clearly and fostering a proactive maintenance culture.

Requirements

• 2+ years experience in highway equipment maintenance.
• Experience with a variety of basic hand, power tools, and equipment.
• A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• A Class A CDL with HazMat and DOT brake certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledgeable in transportation regulations.
• Digital literacy: Comfort with Google Chrome, TMT, and on-board diagnostic systems.
• Expertise with solid diagnostic experience in ABS and DEF systems.
• Familiarity with maintenance software.
• Familiarity or interest in cryogenics.
