What You Will Be Doing

The ACME Lancaster Distribution Center in Denver, PA, is part of Albertsons Companies, a major food and drug retailer with 2,300+ stores. The company supports its stores with 22 distribution centers and 19 manufacturing plants. Positions at ACME Lancaster Distribution Center offer a competitive, comprehensive benefit package, including an annual tool & boot allowance and a $3,000 retention bonus for new hires. For new hires, the initial schedule is Monday-Friday from 06:00 to 14:30 for the first two weeks, transitioning to a 4-day 10-hour schedule after two weeks, with options for Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday shifts from 06:00-16:30, 14:00-00:30, or 21:00-07:30. The starting pay rate is $34.00 per hour, with additional benefits including shift differential and certification incentive.

Main Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on Class A Diesel Trucks - Combo.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues.
  • Answer driver's telephone requests for assistance with equipment failure while out on the road.
  • Maintain and repair all equipment, including engine, starting and charging, electrical, body, wheels, brakes, suspension, and interior.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in heavy duty tractor/trailer repair.
  • May require valid DOT physical card and a CDL driver's license.
  • May need certification in the use of refrigerants and recycling equipment.
  • Able to work full-time with the ability to work any shift.
  • ASE Certifications (preferred).
  • Pennsylvania State Inspection License (preferred).
  • 608 & 609 Refrigeration Certification (preferred).
  • CDL A (preferred).
