Diesel Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Repair, troubleshooting and diagnosis of modern tour buses
• Reconditioning, preventative and routine maintenance
• Inspections and road tests
• Warranty and repair documentation
• Diagnosis, inspection, installation, disassembly and cleaning of components
• Basic welding/fabrication
• Respond to road calls

Requirements

• Diesel Bus Mechanic (B): 4-7 years of diesel engine maintenance
• Diesel Bus Mechanic (A): 7+ years of diesel engine maintenance
• Proficient in the use of diagnostic devices such as: DDEC readers, ATEC readers, SmarTire, schematics, AIC (Freon) recovery and charging equipment
• Proven ability to use hands tools, power tools, hydraulic jacks, welding equipment, and testing instruments
• Must have own tools according to level
• Valid driver's license
• Basic computer skills
• CDL License with Passenger and Airbrake endorsement (optional but desirable)

Pay

Pay rate starting from $29.00 per hour. Pay rate commensurate with candidate experience level.
